The Pause Before the Pivot
Real Talk
This is the last full week before Christmas.
The inbox is quieter. Meetings are getting canceled. The pace is finally slowing.
And for the first time in a long time, I’m noticing something different.
I’m not dragging myself to the finish line.
I’m not running on fumes.
I’m not desperate for a break.
Instead, I feel steady. Present. Clear in a quiet way.
This week feels like a pause — not because nothing is happening, but because I finally have room to notice what’s forming.
What I’m Noticing
Lately, I’ve been doing more thinking than executing — and not in a stuck way.
In a listening way.
Listening to:
- What work gives me energy versus what drains it
- Where I feel most useful, impactful, and aligned
- The ideas that keep resurfacing without force
- The direction that feels obvious once I stop overthinking it
What’s interesting is that clarity hasn’t come with fireworks.
It’s coming quietly. Confidently. Without urgency.
A Different Kind of Question
Instead of asking myself:
“What should I be doing next?”
I’ve been sitting with:
“What feels ready now?”
Not rushed.
Not pressured.
Just ready.
This week doesn’t require answers.
It requires awareness.
And sometimes that’s the most productive thing you can give yourself.
If You’re Here Too…
If this week feels slower but not empty…
If you feel reflective without feeling lost…
If you sense something new ahead but don’t need to name it yet…
That’s not a problem to solve.
That’s a season to honor.
You’re allowed to pause without panicking.
You’re allowed to trust what’s unfolding.
You’re allowed to move gently right now.
Until Next Time
I’m treating this week as a soft landing — wrapping things up, enjoying family time, and letting clarity arrive on its own timeline.
If you’re doing the same, I hope you let that be enough.
We’ll talk soon!
