If Money Weren’t an Obstacle
Big Ideas, Bigger Belief
Recently, I finished listening to the podcast WeCrashed, which tells the story of WeWork’s rise — from a single co-working space to a global brand valued at $47 billion — and its eventual collapse.
It’s a wild story. A story of vision and charisma. A story of people who dreamed really big — so big that others couldn’t help but believe too. But it’s also a cautionary tale. Because somewhere along the way, that dream stopped being about impact and started being about image.
As I listened, I kept thinking about what happens when big ideas get tangled up in ego, urgency, and the need to prove something. The founder wanted to “change the world,” but he lost sight of the why behind it all.
It made me pause and ask myself — and now I’m asking you:
👉🏾 What if we gave ourselves permission to dream big, but differently?
What if we dared to imagine the what ifs — not from a place of hustle or hype, but from a place of purpose?
Because here’s the thing: so many of us have big ideas tucked away in our journals, our notes apps, or our hearts. We tell ourselves we’ll start “when” — when the money comes, when the time is right, when the kids are grown, when things are perfect.
But what if money weren’t the obstacle?
What if the only thing standing between you and your wildest dream was belief — the kind of belief that doesn’t need validation or a venture capitalist to say yes?
I’ve learned that the women who actually bring their visions to life aren’t always the ones with the biggest budgets. They’re the ones who believe enough to start — to build, to test, to fail forward, to keep going.
And that’s what Simply Living Me is about — helping you see that your dream doesn’t need permission. It needs alignment, intention, and faith that the right resources will meet you when you move.
Mindset Moment: The Difference Between Fantasy and Faith
Big ideas don’t require big money — they require big belief.
The kind that stretches you beyond what’s comfortable but keeps you grounded in what’s real.
The downfall of WeWork wasn’t dreaming big — it was forgetting the foundation.
Vision without grounding is fantasy.
But when vision meets faith and aligned action? That’s transformation.
That’s what the Simply Living Me Mindset helps you uncover — not how to dream smaller, but how to anchor your dreams in clarity, abundance, and authenticity so they can actually live.
✨ Because the question isn’t “Can I afford it?”
It’s “Can I believe it enough to start?”
Practice This: Reimagine the What-If
This week, I want you to play with this prompt:
“If money weren’t an obstacle, I would…”
Write down the first five things that come to mind — before you edit them.
Then, for each one, ask:
-
What’s one free step I could take toward this?
-
Who could I talk to, learn from, or collaborate with?
-
What’s already in my hands that I’m overlooking?
Clarity often comes when we stop focusing on the how and start moving in the what’s next.
From Idea to Action
At Simply Living Me, we believe that clarity comes from action.
Every big vision starts small — with one brave move.
Whether it’s launching your business, writing your book, or finally believing your voice matters — your next step doesn’t require perfect conditions. It just requires a decision.

Closing Reflection
I’ll leave you with this:
Dream big — but build with intention.
We don’t have to “WeWork” our way to success.
We can do it the Simply Living Me way — with authenticity, abundance, and grounded faith.
Here’s to believing big, starting small, and trusting that the resources will meet you when you move.
