I’m Not Setting Resolutions for 2026

The First Days of the New Year

There’s something sacred about the first few days of a new year.

The calendar has officially turned—but the world is still quiet enough to hear yourself think.

Before the noise starts.

Before the pressure to declare goals, resolutions, or a “new you.”

Instead of rushing into all of that, I’ve been sitting with one question:

What actually matters going forward?

Not what sounds good.

Not what looks productive.

But what I’m no longer willing to compromise on.

My Vision for 2026

2026 feels expansive—but not chaotic.

I’m building businesses that are:

  • Aligned instead of exhausting
  • Profitable without being performative
  • Grounded in expertise, not hustle

This next season is about depth over noise, impact over optics, and ownership over permission.

And honestly?

That clarity didn’t come from planning harder.

It came from deciding what’s non-negotiable.

My 2026 Non-Negotiables

Here are a few I’m carrying with me into this year:

  • Clarity before commitment – If it’s not a hell yes, it’s a no.
  • Expertise over approval – I don’t need to prove what I already know.
  • Rest as a strategy – Burnout is not a badge of honor.
  • Revenue with intention – Money is a tool, not the goal.
  • Building for myself – Not shrinking to fit systems that were never built for me.

As You Step Into 2026…

I’ll leave you with this:

What are you no longer negotiating with yourself about?

That answer might tell you more about your next chapter than any resolution ever could.

More soon,

Char

Am I Ready… Or Am I Just Curious?
I’ve been noticing something lately. Some women come to me with 25+ years of experience, leading teams and driving strategy, asking: “Do you think I’m ready to consult?” And others come quietly, almost whispering: “I don’t even know if what I do counts.” Different levels.Different titles.Same question. Am I ready? And here’s what I’ve learned: Most women aren’t confused about their capability. ...
The Space Between Where You’ve Been and What’s Next
I shared a reel this week about my new office—but what I didn’t say there is why this move mattered more than the logistics.   After ten years in business, you stop making decisions just to prove you’re growing. You start making them because you can feel when something no longer fits.   This office wasn’t on a vision board. It wasn’t part of a five-year plan. It showed up because I was paying a...
Starting Over (Even When You’re Experienced)
For the last 10 years, I ran a DEI consulting practice. And before that? Nearly 20 years in corporate—leading, advising, building, fixing, carrying. That business wasn’t random. It was a direct extension of the work I had already mastered. And yet… here I am.Relaunching.Repositioning.Reintroducing myself. And if I’m being honest, it feels like starting over. Not because I lack experience. Not bec...
