🍁 A Thanksgiving Note From My Heart (and My Stomach)

Because let’s be honest — both are full this week.

This season has me reflecting on just how wild, heavy, beautiful, unpredictable, and purpose-shaping this year has been. And if you’re anything like me, you’re giving thanks for everything — the blessings, the breakthroughs, the lessons, and even the things that tried it… because somehow, they grew you too.

So here’s what I’m grateful for:

✨ The hard days — because they stretched me.
✨ The good days — because they reminded me why I keep going.
✨ Family and friends who fill the room and my cup.
✨ Clients who trust me with their teams, their strategy, and their transformation.
✨ Women stepping boldly into entrepreneurship even with a full-time job, full family, and full calendar.
✨ Opportunities that whispered “you’re ready”… even when I was still looking around like, “Me? You sure?”

And of course…

✨ Mac & cheese that’s actually seasoned
✨ A sweet potato pie that does not need your “feedback”
✨ And my Simply Living Me Hoodie and stretchy leggings — because they understood the assignment.

But most of all, I’m grateful for YOU.

For reading.
For supporting.
For doing the work on yourself.
For believing that your gifts are worthy of building a life around.
For showing up in your calling — even when you don’t feel 100% ready.

If this year has shown us anything, it’s this:

We are allowed to evolve. We are allowed to pivot. We are allowed to outgrow anything that no longer fits — even if that means stepping into something wildly new.

So as we head into the season of gratitude (and leftovers), I’m lifting a toast of thanks — whether it’s coffee, Tito’s, or both — to you and everything you’re becoming.

Happy Thanksgiving, sis.

Your journey is unfolding exactly the way it needs to.

Am I Ready… Or Am I Just Curious?
I’ve been noticing something lately. Some women come to me with 25+ years of experience, leading teams and driving strategy, asking: “Do you think I’m ready to consult?” And others come quietly, almost whispering: “I don’t even know if what I do counts.” Different levels.Different titles.Same question. Am I ready? And here’s what I’ve learned: Most women aren’t confused about their capability. ...
The Space Between Where You’ve Been and What’s Next
I shared a reel this week about my new office—but what I didn’t say there is why this move mattered more than the logistics.   After ten years in business, you stop making decisions just to prove you’re growing. You start making them because you can feel when something no longer fits.   This office wasn’t on a vision board. It wasn’t part of a five-year plan. It showed up because I was paying a...
Starting Over (Even When You’re Experienced)
For the last 10 years, I ran a DEI consulting practice. And before that? Nearly 20 years in corporate—leading, advising, building, fixing, carrying. That business wasn’t random. It was a direct extension of the work I had already mastered. And yet… here I am.Relaunching.Repositioning.Reintroducing myself. And if I’m being honest, it feels like starting over. Not because I lack experience. Not bec...
